Chris Weston has a long history with “2000 AD”, the weekly British comics magazine, both inside its pages and out. But the last time his work graced its cover was Prog 1782 nearly two years ago.
Thankfully, 2000 AD editorial overlord Tharg the Mighty has decided that’s too long a time to go without some new Weston artwork on the cover of his beloved thrill-zine. And in his infinite generosity he is not only sharing that cover with Multiversity ahead of the July 9 release date, but some process art as well!
Here’s what PR droid Molch-R has to say about the strip itself:
‘The Heart is a Lonely Klegg Hunter’ begins in Prog 1888 and has been written by Rob Williams, with colours by Michael Dowling and letters by Annie Parkhouse. It follows the further adventures of Sensitive Klegg, the non-typical Klegg who helped save Mega-City One during the Trifecta crisis at the end of 2012.

We’ll be covering this more in Multiver-City One, our weekly column for all things 2000 AD. But until then, feast your eyes on the Weston thrill-power!
