The fine folks at DC Comics have provided us an exclusive first look at “Justice League 3000″#9, due out on August 6th. This book, set in the early 31st century, pre-Legion of Super-Heroes, has been as much a mystery as it has a superhero book. Artist Howard Porter has been absolutely crushing it on the book as well, bringing his hyper-detailed work to the scripts by classic “Justice League International” writers, J.M. DeMatteis and Keith Giffen.

Written by J.M. DeMatteis and Keith Giffen
Illustrated by Howard Porter

It‘s the event you’ve been waiting for: the Five face the force of a united Justice League. Meanwhile, Ariel Masters, the “mother” of the JL, makes a critical decision about the team’s future.

Thanks again to DC, and make sure to pick up the issue on Wednesday!
