Last year BOOM! got the license to create comics out of one of my favorite shows, Sons of Anarchy, and has since been telling little side stories within the universe of my favorite motorcycle-based Shakespeare-inspired violent-as-fuuuu drama series. And next week, one of the worst characters the show has ever had (worst as in his behavior, not that he is a bad character — he’s just a son of a bitch) is getting his own spotlight.

Care of Ed Brisson (assumedly bringing his “Murder Book” flare to the series) and Jesus Hervas, this Lee Toric-centric issue reminds us all why we loved to hate the usually affable Donal Logue’s grizzly character. And if I know Ed — and I think I’ve proven through numerous interviews on this site that I don’t — it’s going to be one heck of a wild ride.

Take a look at an exclusive five-page preview below:

And here’s the solicit:

SONS OF ANARCHY #7
Writer(s): Ed Brisson
Artist(s): Jesus Hervas
Price: $3.99
Set after the events of season three, Gemma and Tara must keep the peace on the homefront, as Jax, Clay and the others doing their time in prison, the town of Charming is more dangerous than ever with the SONS OF ANARCHY behind bars!

The issue is on sale next week.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
