Damage is one of the ‘New Age of Heroes’ characters that seems to fit easiest among DC’s pre-existing properties – and not just because the character shares a name with a ‘Zero Hour’-era Titan. The concept is relatively simple: a soldier undergoes a medical experiment to become a super soldier, but something goes wrong. Remind you of anyone else? Nah?
Anyway, that concept can be easily transported into any number of DC books, and it also allows any number of DC characters to pop up. Thus far, we’ve seen the Suicide Squad, Poison Ivy, and Wonder Woman all guest in the title. This month we see a classic, but under utilized DC character show up: the Unknown Soldier. We’re thrilled to share an exclusive preview of “Damage” #8, due out on August 15th.
