With “Electric Warriors,” Steve Orlando (“Martian Manhunter,” “Apollo and Midnighter”) and Travel Foreman (“Animal Man,” “Tales of Suspense”) have delivered a unique look into DC’s future, and used some of the publishers’ many glimpses into the future to do so. Especially indebted are the creators to the work of Jack Kirby, whose “Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth” was the jumping off point for this new series. We are thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the fifth issue, which features two pages of art by the great Javier Fernandez (“Nightwing,” “Green Arrow”), and hits stores on March 20th.

Reeling from a sudden, tragic death, the remaining Electric Warrior rebels discover a dark secret about one of their own. Can War Cry keep the group together after the truth about his identity is revealed? Or is this all just part of the Gil’Dishpan’s plan to keep the universe under their control for good?

Thanks to DC for the preview, and make sure to pick up the issue on Wednesday!
