Exclusive Preview: Fatale #3

This is a big week of comics from Image. From the first issue of new books, the release of a few highly anticipate collections or the inclusion of a few Image staples, it’s safe to say that if you’re a fan of Image, you’re in luck this week (and your wallet is in trouble).

However, right in the middle of it all is the latest issue of Ed Brubaker, Sean Phillips and Dave Stewart’s latest collaboration “Fatale,” a new book mixing their penchant for hard-boiled noir with the new element of Lovecraftian horror. Today marks the halfway point of the first five-issue arc, and it all begins with a diabolical little interlude which we have here to share with you today.

The solicitation for the issue is as follows:

What will Detective Walt Booker sacrifice, to what gods? And is he looking for redemption or revenge? In part three of BRUBAKER and PHILLIPS’ new horror/noir masterpiece, the threads of the first arc twist together… into a noose around the neck of a corrupt cop in late ’50s San Francisco.

Take a look behind the cut for an exclusive five page preview of “Fatale” #3, out this week from Image Comics.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
