Have you guys been reading Graveyard of Empires? This mini-series comes from writer Mark Sable, artist Paul Azaceta and Image Comics, and brilliantly blends the war in Afghanistan with zombies in a way that feels emotionally harrowing and completely badass at the same time. It’s not “just another zombie book,” but rather a completely original creation that I’m now kicking myself for not including in my best mini-series of 2011 list.
