One of our favorite books at Image at the moment, Brandon Graham’s “Prophet” run has been nothing short of incredible. Pulling together a bevy of talented artists – including Simon Roy and Giannis Milonogiannis on this issue – for what is decidedly the most successful of the Extreme Studios relaunch, this sci-fi take on Conan is arguably the only book of its kind and caliber to be put out in the US marketplace today. In fact, the reason it is the most successful of the Extreme Studios relaunch is simply because it refused to conform to any kind of standard set before it, essentially existing as a brand new comic that threw away all past pretense, picking and choosing aspects to carry on for a grand space opera.

Suffice it to say, every week a new “Prophet” comes out is a week to be excited, and next week is just one of those weeks. Forget Halloween, man, lets go to space.

Old man Prophet goes looking for ancient heroes in hopes of tracking down the missing Badrock

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
