As “Convergence” nears, a number of DC books are wrapping up their runs, and few will be missed as much as “Batman and Robin.” The series, by Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason, is among the most consistently excellent in all of comics, and has somehow flown under the radar for most of its tenure.

In June, Gleason takes over the writing details as the book shifts to “Robin, Son of Batman,” a book he’ll be both writing and illustrating. But, until then, we have #40 of “Batman and Robin,” where we see Robin, newly imbued with powers, fly side by side with Superman and co. in the Justice League.

Written by Peter Tomasi
Illustrated by Patrick Gleason

Damian’s powers have been a source of concern to Batman – and it’s only a matter of time before he’s called up to the big leagues!

Thanks again to everyone at DC, and check out the finale of the book on Wednesday!
