It’s no secret we here at Multiversity are big fans of Judge Dredd. And while we cover the UK version every week in Multiver-City One, there’s an American take on the character coming from the fine folks over at IDW, and we’ve got a preview of the latest issue!
The IDW “Judge Dredd” can be seen as a kind of ‘Ultimate’ version of the character. Swierczynski and Daniel get to pick and choose elements from the over 35-year history of the Judge and his Mega-City to introduce to new readers on this side of the Atlantic. The current storyline brings in not only the fan-favorite Dark Judges (Death, Fear, Fire, and Mortis) but a baker’s dozen of new recruits to fill their ranks. Dredd and company have been able to make it three issues into the story so far; will everybody make it out of this last one alive?
