On Wednesday, Archie Comics will release “Jughead and Archie Comics Digest” #4, one of their many digests that collect older stories in huge chunks for very little money – this issue is $4.99, and is 160 pages of full color.

Despite what your mother-in-law heard on the news (mine actually called me to ask), Archie is still alive in the “main” timeline (he died in an Elseworlds-style book called “Life with Archie”), and Archie continues to put out a ton of books each month.

JUGHEAD & ARCHIE COMICS DIGEST #4
The gang has created a masterpiece: the ULTIMATE sand sculpture to put all boring old sandcastles to shame! Unfortunately, what—or WHO—they discover buried underneath their sculpture threatens to ruin their chances of winning the grand prize in the sand sculpture contest. Find out if they can be the kings and queens of their sandcastle in “Sand Man,” the zany first story in this hilarious digest!

Script: Craig Boldman
Art: Rex Lindsey, Jim Amash, Jack Morelli, Barry Grossman

Cover: Dan Parent, Bob Smith, Rosario “Tito” Peña

160-page, full color comic
$4.99 U.S.

Thanks again to the folks at Archie, and look for the issue on stands tomorrow!
