This has been discussed in the comment section of the site before (which is an esoteric in-house reference at best), but I’m a big fan of FX’s Sons of Anarchy. A Shakespearean drama thrown onto a motorcycle that is consistently one of TV’s most surprising and darkest dramas, the upcoming final season of the show debuting next month is one of my most anticipated returns to television of the year. Because, like, holy shit the end of Season 6, am I right? “Who will survive and what will be left of them” incarnate.
And speaking of Season 6, the “Sons of Anarchy” comic at BOOM! Studios is now edging closer and closer to becoming up to date. When Ed Brisson took over the book we were placed in the interim of Seasons 3 and 4, but now we’re jumping ahead even further as the book starts to bridge the gap between 5 and 6, apparently reflecting the death of Damon Pope. (Uh, spoilers, I guess? It’s in the solicit.)
Brisson has been doing an amicable job on the title, which is no surprise considering he honed is voice in dark, brooding crime comics, and with Damian Couceiro keeping the pace of the series throughout, “Sons of Anarchy” remains one of the more interesting comic book tie-ins. And today, we have an exclusive six-page preview for you, care of BOOM! Studios.
Here’s the solicit:
