Bummed about “Fatale” ending? Good news: there’s literally no reason to be, because hot on the heels of the “Fatale” finale is Brubaker and Phillips’ next series, “The Fade Out,” as announced at Image Expo.
Announcing it for an August 20th release, the new series from the dynamic duo will come in at a double-sized 40 pages for the price of 20, which is always nice. There will also be an oversized “movie magazine replica” variant (which you can see below) with 8 extra pages of process work and articles. If you’ve picked up any of Brubaker and Phillips’ books in singles you know they often like to pack them with great bonuses and extras, so I can only imagine what you’ll get in an over-sized magazine — let alone how beautiful Phillips’ art will look blown up all nicely.
