Larry Hama’s run on the G.I. Joe property is certainly one of the most iconic runs on any licensed property in comics history. Across three publishers and nearly four decades, Hama has crafted the definitive G.I. Joe story, taking the Joes and Cobras from action figures and broad cartoons to nuanced, multi-faceted characters with lots of history.

In this current arc, David Messina (“ROM,” “Angel”) joins Hama for an arc focused on Baroness. We are thrilled to share an exclusive preview of “G.I. Joe: Real American Hero” #252, due out on May 30th.

“Special Missions,” Part 2 (of 5). G.I. Joe. Cobra. Two opposing forces. Two powerful war machines, each made more lethal by the undeniable strength of their individual parts. But who and what are those parts? This issue, artist David Messina (ROM, Star Trek) joins forces with Larry to present Cobra’s ruthless and deadly femme fatale: BARONESS!

Thanks to IDW for the preview, and make sure to pick up the issue on Wednesday!
