Former Marvel editor Ralph Macchio has continued to write standalone, new reader-friendly one-shots timed to coincide with the company’s film releases, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is no exception. We are pleased to present an exclusive preview of next week’s “Guardians of the Galaxy: Bane of Blastaar,” which takes us back to the Al Ewing and Juann Cabal era of the comic, and spotlights a trademark villain who — rather surprisingly — hasn’t shown up in the MCU or the Eidos-Montréal game.

Blastaar is back and has launched a new inquisition to take over the galaxy! The Guardians must act fast if they hope to stop him! But it looks like this found family is having problems of their own. Can the Guardians get it together before it’s too late? Don’t miss out on this classic Guardians of the Galaxy tale!

Thanks to Marvel for the preview, and be sure to pick up the book – either safely in a store, or digitally – next week!
