We here at Multiversity are big fans of the Hoax Hunters, a team of paranormal investigators who run a faux TV show debunking the hoaxes they hunt when in reality they’re monitoring and managing all kinds of nasty beasties in our world. It’s a fun title and one that our own Vince Ostrowski annotated with creators Michael Moreci and Steve Seeley every issue.

We debuted that T-Rex Jones was joining the book as part of our birthday celebration this year, so why not show you what he’s doing with his pages? You’re going to like it:

It certainly takes the book in a darker direction, doesn’t it? The book had never been all sunshines and rainbows but there was a certain levity to it. From these pages alone, it looks like the book is taking on a brand new direction for its new arc.

“Hoax Hunters” is currently serializing online right now for free, so if you’re not caught up now is the time. Next week sees the release of an easy jump-on point with the “Case Files” Annual issue, featuring a bevy of different creators and talents putting their own spin on the Hoax Hunters team. I hear one of ’em has particularly great letters by a pretty cool guy that you probably like if you’re reading this sentence. So that’s fun, right?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
