When it launched, “Justice League Odyssey” seemed like a very limited proposal. It seemed like one of the many “ongoing” series that is really just a miniseries in disguise. But 17 issues in, the series keeps doubling down on its concept, going deeper and deeper and telling this story of gods, old and new, and taking these sometimes underused characters and doing something really special and unique with it. We’re thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the seventeenth issue, due out on January 15th.

Green Lantern Jessica Cruz and the new JLO have their first encounter with their lost friend Cyborg. Will Victor Stone’s hidden messages be the clue to releasing him from Darkseid’s deadly grip-or is Vic gone forever? And how much is Jessica willing to risk to save her old friends?

Thanks to DC for the preview, and make sure to pick up the issue on Wednesday!
