Kick Off The Week With Flash #2

I have noticed that lately, Geoff Johns has fallen out of grace as one of the top creators on our website. We love his work, but as I said on the latest episode of Spoiler Alert, I feel like we’re getting a little sick of colored lanterns. Good thing then that we have a brand new book to rely on for the good old fashioned Johns story telling we’ve all come to enjoy. I feel like one of the main reasons a lot of us love Johns is that he takes old characters that might seem completely irrelevant and makes us fall in love with them as heroes. This can definitely be said for Barry Allen’s return as the Flash, especially with the dynamite first issue of the series (despite whether or not you’re a Wally guy). With fantastic artwork by Francis Manapul and a great twist by Johns, the first arc definitely has the potential to be killer (no pun intended), and the second issue comes out this week!

Check out a preview of this week’s issue over on DCU’s The Source:

Written by GEOFF JOHNS – Art and cover by FRANCIS MANAPUL – Variant cover by RYAN SOOK

BRIGHTEST DAY shines its light on the continuing saga of Barry Allen — The Fastest Man Alive! The Flash continues his investigation into the “Dastardly Death of the Rogues” as the case takes a dramatic turn and Barry corners a suspect…and can’t believe who it is!

The issue comes out this week for $2.99. Keep your eyes open for a review from us on Thursday!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
