“Lodger,” the latest project from David and Maria Lapham (“Stray Bullets”), is full of stark and strong imagery, rendered in beautiful black and white inks. The book looks unlike anything else on the stands today and, while sharing the look and creative DNA of “Stray Bullets,” also feels like something new and exciting for the couple. The book is part of the ‘Black Crown’ imprint, run by former Vertigo editor Shelly Bond, and the series fits right in there, alongside other books that feature top notch creators taking really interesting chances. We’re thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the third issue, which hits stands on January 9th.

As a mysterious grifter continues to corrupt and kill damaged souls on the open road, he accepts a request on the Lodger travel blog that might put his own heart in danger. Meanwhile, Ricky Toledo and Golddigger get one step closer to their prey.

Thanks to IDW and Black Crown for the preview, and make sure to pick up the issue on Wednesday!
