Brian Buccellato is one of the recent examples of colorists turned writers, making a real name for himself on his co-writing of “The Flash” in the New 52, aside Francis Manapul. “Lowlifes” represents a different type of book for Buccellato, who has been expanding his scope beyond superheroes for a few years now. This is a down and dirty crime story, whose title tells you all you need to know about the main characters, or at least how they are perceived to the outside world.
