Vertigo has gone through some changes in the past few years; most of their iconic series have ended, and they’ve been trying to establish a new identity. That said, “Lucifer” is about as close of a tie to the ‘old’ Vertigo as possible. The character was first introduced in, perhaps, the classic Vertigo series, “Sandman,” and then launched a spinoff series, written by Mike Carey, and running for 75 issues.
This second solo series, which launched in December 2015, has been anchored by artist Lee Garbett, has coincided, more or less, with the television adaptation on NBC. We are thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the sixteenth issue, which is scheduled to be released on March 15th.

Written by Richard Kadrey
Illustrated by Lee GarbettThe power struggle in Hell persists as Rosemary emerges from the sidelines to work the system, and Lucifer accepts aid from an unlikely ally. But this is no charitable act, and Lucifer won’t be permitted to forget the favor. Meanwhile, Arabelle faces her toughest case ever as the search for Gabriel’s heart takes her to demonic realms she never could have imagined.
Thanks again to DC, and make sure to pick up the issue on Wednesday.
