Yesterday we got a preview of “Nova” #1, a comic Marvel is clearly anticipating to have a strong reaction and an immediate readership due to the book’s legacy and connection with the efforts being put into the new Cosmic U. In fact, they’re so excited that a day after releasing a preview for “Nova” #1, they release a preview for “Nova” #2, sans colors this time.

So without further ado:

The first issue of “Nova” goes on sale at the end of February, with this issue going on sale at the end of March. For the full press release from Marvel, please see below.

Marvel Press Release

Marvel is pleased to present your first look at NOVA #2, from the chart-topping, award-winning creative team of Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness! After coming face-to-face with a strange, green skinned alien and talking raccoon from a Super Hero team calling themselves the “Guardians of the Galaxy”, Sam Alexander now has more questions about his heritage than ever before. Who was his father? What is the mysterious helmet he holds? And who in the blue blazes were the Nova Corps? The birth of the most exciting new Super Hero of 2013 continues here!

Each issue of Nova includes a code for a free digital copy on the Marvel Comics app (for iPhone®, iPad®, iPad Touch® & Android devices) and in the Marvel Digital Comics Shop. Additionally, each issue of Nova features special augmented reality content available exclusive through the Marvel AR app — including cover recaps, behind the scenes features and more that add value to your reading experience at no additional cost.

This March, Jeph Loeb & Ed McGuinness show you a new side of the Marvel Universe in Nova #2!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
