Torunn Grønbekk and Jason Aaron’s Valkyrie run — which so far consists of “Valkyrie: Jane Foster,” “King in Black: Return of the Valkyries,” and now “Mighty Valkyries” — has been delving into the weirder and more obscure aspects of Norse mythology: for instance, the latest series has seen Karnilla bring in Auoumbla, the primeval cow, for her own designs, and Jane Foster contending with More, the child of Fenris, and grandchild of Loki, as well as… Kraven the Hunter.
