Originally announced at NYCC, McCann, Esquejo and Oback’s new ongoing Mind the Gap is perhaps one of the most anticipated ongoings of the year. Set for debut in May on Image, Mind the Gap is McCann’s first major ongoing after a run with Marvel’s Hawkeye and Mockingbird over a few minis and the critically acclaimed Return of the Dapper Men, with Morning Glories cover artist extraordinaire Rodin Esquejo and Sonia Oback on art.
Mind the Gap tells the story of Elle Peterssen, a young girl mysteriously assaulted on a subway platform and left in a coma. However, while this attack is the first, it is certainly not the last, and it is up to the rest of the cast to figure out who attacked Elle and why.
Today, Jim McCann released a 9-page online preview of the comic that acts as a prologue to the story, revealing all of the players in the mystery including her friends, her family and the attending physicians — all of whom are trying to figure out what happened right alongside you. And wouldn’t you know it, we’re here to share that preview with you!
Check after the cut for a 9-page preview of Mind the Gap, and get your wallet ready for a new book to add to your pull.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
