The last time we visited Moth City with the finale to ‘Season Two,’ we found a lot to like. As our reviewer James Johnston wrote in his review, ““Moth City” is arguably the most important digital comic being published right now. If you’re interested in seeing where that medium is going to go, pick up this book.”
Which is certainly high praise, yes, but it’s absolutely deserved. Utilizing the Infinite Canvas in interesting ways, “Moth City” is one of Thrillbent’s best offerings. And with the fifth issue coming out on Comixology next week for those of you who don’t read the strip at Thrillbent or at the official site, now is certainly the time to get excited for impending awesomeness.
Here’s the official blurb from series creator Tim Gibson:
With this issue, Moth City steps over the halfway point of the eight issue series. With the affordable digital prices (issues only $1.99 – and the first issue at only .99c) at Comixology, it’s certainly not too late to jump on board this creator owned underdog comic.
The new issue deals with the fallout of Major Hong’s attack on the Governor’s daughter, driving McCaw to the bottle and some borderline decision making. The island is coming under serious threat, both from without and within, and McCaw is not a man who walks away from fights.
The island further deteriorates under the strain of the infection as people are turn upon one another. Our struggling hero Jun develops a unique approach to protect his pregnant wife from his own urges to eat her. Of course, as we see, he’s not the only killer out in Moth City, and things take a turn for the horror for them.
We’ve also got a great new quote from an industry supporter and the addition of some great fan art in the Backmatter to round out the issue.
Take a look below at what you can expect from the latest issue of the series:

“Moth City Season 3 Part 1” drops on Comixology October 2nd.
