Next week’s “New Mutants” #13 marks chapter 7 of the ‘X of Swords’ crossover, which sees the mutants of Krakoa up against the warriors of Arakko, in a tournament that will decide the future of mutantkind. It’s the middle of next week’s three chapters, taking place between “Hellions” #5 (chapter 6) and “Cable” #5 (chapter 8), and also mark Ed Brisson’s last entry on the series, before Vita Ayala takes over with December’s issue #14. We are pleased to present a brief, exclusive sneak peek at issue #13, which sees newly drafted teammates Cypher and Warlock grapple with the terrifying situation they find themselves in, and Magik offering help in her distinctly intimidating manner.
