“Nick Fury,” the first solo series to feature the younger Fury, wraps up next week. James Robinson and ACO have crafted a unique, super fun, James Bond-inspired series that attempted, and succeeded, to give Fury Jr a distinct persona away from just being either “Nick Fury’s son” or “the Nick Fury created to look like Samuel L. Jackson.” The short tenure of the series was never really discussed, but it may be due to Robinson’s return to DC next week with “Wonder Woman” #31, or it may have just been that Marvel didn’t feel like the series had legs. Regardless, we really enjoyed it and we are thrilled to share an exclusive preview of the final issue, #6, which comes out on September 27.
