Have you been reading Marvel’s current “Ultimates” book? If you have, then you know that things keep getting progressively worse for the characters. Part of it is because Jonathan Hickman hates all of them (note: we have no way of proving this) and part of it is because incoming solo writer/current co-writer Sam Humphries really hates all of them (note: we have no way of proving this either), and with the end of this week’s issue #11 it doesn’t look like there is a modicum of hope.

So hey, how about a preview of the next issue then, yeah? Take a gander at four unlettered pages:

Marvel Comics Press Release

Marvel is proud to present your first look at Ultimate Comics Ultimates #12! The war between the United States and the City rages on, as Reed Richards’ devastating attack on Washington DC has made him the most wanted man on Earth! But now that he has Tony Stark in his grasp, how long can the billionaire manage to survive in the City — without Iron Man? And with S.H.I.E.L.D. agents still after the remaining Ultimates, what will become of them and their leader, General Nick Fury? The show stopping creative team of Jonathan Hickman, Sam Humphries, Luke Ross & Ron Garney bring you the stunning answers in Ultimate Comics Ultimates #12, coming to comic shops, the Marvel Comics app and the Marvel Digital Comics Shop this June.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
