Last month, “Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man” returned. The classic Marvel title, this time helmed by Chip Zdarsky (“Sex Criminals,” “Howard the Duck”) and Adam Kubert (“Action Comics,” “Ultimate Fantastic Four”). T We loved the first issue, and are can’t wait to check out the second issue, of which we have an exclusive first look. The issue, which drops on July 19th, sees a guest appearance from Riri Williams, aka Ironheart, and continues the book’s mandate of keeping the action in New York City. The greater focus on Peter and his environment is a welcome one, as the Spidey books of late haven’t given us that ‘classic’ Parker for some time.

A tech-crime ring is tightening around Spider-Man. If Ironheart will stop beating him up, she may be able to help him zero in on the source. And who is the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent showing up at Peter’s door with more info on Spidey than anyone should have?
