Posted over at Preview’s World and Comic Book Resources, the gang behind the upcoming “Creator Owned Heroes” book have revealed a sneak peek at Phil Noto’s interior artwork to one of the two stories, ‘Trigger 6’ — and good lord, is it gorgeous.

Written by the duo of Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, ‘Trigger 6’ is a “sci-fi thriller “Triggergirl 6,” the sixth in a series of genetically modified assassins born in a secret laboratory sets her sights on the ultimate target. But what happens when the perfect killing machine takes a personal interest in her target only to uncover a conspiracy that may change the fate of the entire human race?” As part of the “Creator Owned Heroes” book, it is one of two stories jam-packed in this issue (the other being ‘American Muscle’ by Steve Niles and Kevin Mellon), along with a Neil Gaiman interview.

While we don’t have either of those other two things to share with you, looking at Noto’s work for this issue was too good to pass up sharing. Noto’s art is impeccable, reaching a wonderful level of realism in his characters that help define this semi-post-apocalyptic sci-fi world that 6 lives in, giving off light vibes from the Prisoner with perhaps a hint of the Matrix. It’s stylish, sleek, sexy and absolutely superb.

Check behind the cut for three more unlettered preview pages, and be sure to check out Previews Magazine for a sneak peek of Kevin Mellon’s work for ‘American Muscle’ as well.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
