With Blackest Night over, Brightest Day and Generation Lost are now in full swing for our new bi-weekly series from DC. Our returned heroes and villains continue to find their place in their world, specifically Aquaman and his link to dead sea creatures. Creepy. And now, thanks to DCU’s the Source blog, we have a preview for you!

Written by GEOFF JOHNS and PETER J. TOMASI – Art by IVAN REIS, PATRICK GLEASON, ARDIAN SYAF, SCOTT CLARK and JOE PRADO – Covers by DAVID FINCH – Variant cover by IVAN REIS and OCLAIR ALBERT

BRIGHTEST DAY continues, but in ways you can’t possibly expect! What does BRIGHTEST DAY mean to the DC Universe? Is everything from here on out going to be bright and shiny? No, BRIGHTEST DAY means something else entirely, something we can’t tell you…yet. But we can tell you our heroes will need to rise up more than ever to combat the forces of evil, and a select few will uncover a secret that binds them ALL.

Take a look behind the cut for a look at the variant cover to issue 2, as well as a 5 page preview!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
