Free Comic Book Day is always a joyous event, filled with free comics, excited fans and a typically far different audience than what you’d normally get at a shop at one time. This year, it looks like we might be getting a new segment of fans in particular: Browncoats.
Browncoats for those that do not know are fans of the TV show Firefly and movie Serenity (I’m one of them), and this year’s Dark Horse offering for FCBD features two stories – one Star Wars, and one glorious looking Serenity story written by Joss Whedon’s brother Zack (who is a very gifted writer as well) and with art from superstar artist Fábio Moon. The latter is one of our favorite artists around, and with him on a Serenity story, the Dark Horse offering becomes one of the must grabs for me personally.
