After an incredibly long wait and even greater demand, it’s finally here: “Q2: The Return of Quantum and Woody” from original creators Christopher Priest and MD Bright will be on shelves next week. And the best part of this news? They haven’t missed a single beat.

“Quantum and Woody” represents perhaps the biggest cult favorite out of the previous iteration of Valiant. Long out of print in trades and historically unfinished, it is one of the funniest and most authentic books to come out of the 90s, full of cultural comedy and satire all wrapped up in perhaps the most potent Batman and Robin riff of all time. “Quantum and Woody” was almost one of those books to get lost to the seas of times, but thankfully the current regime at Valiant have seen fit to imbue it with new life — and with the characters having reached prominence again in comics, it’s the perfect time for the original creators to come and give it one last outing, and boy oh boy does it seem like they’re going all in for this mini.

Now, after a long wait, “Q2” is on shelves next week, and after already giggling like a fool at the preview I can’t wait to see what else the series has in store. Not only that, but the omnibus collecting the original run is also out next week. So, you know: now is the time to get in on this, because the hype train is a-rollin’, baby, and you don’t want it to let you pass you by.

For all your klaang-y needs, here’s the solicit:

The most demanded return in comics is finally here! The original Quantum and Woody are back! Legendary creators Christopher Priest and M.D. Bright return to one of the most acclaimed series of the modern era for an all-new mini-series event!

Whatever happened to the world’s worst superhero team? Twenty years past their prime, the unlikely crime-fighting duo known as Quantum and Woody (not a couple) have long since parted ways…until a middle-aged Quantum suddenly reappears with a brand-new teenage partner. Now Woody is out to break up the all-new, all-different Quantum and Woody and put an end to Quantum’s recklessness…just as Quantum takes on a life-or-death personal mission for national security. Can these former friends set aside their differences…and their age…and their numerous health difficulties…to join forces one last time without driving each other crazy?

And here’s the preview with all the variants. Enjoy, and look for the series and omnibus on shelves next week; it’s going to be a riot.
