It’s funny, for a guy that died all the way back in the very first issue of “Hellboy: Seed of Destruction” back in 1994, Professor Trevor Bruttenholm sure has grown into a big character in the Hellboy Universe. He showed up in a few flashbacks over the years, then took center stage for “B.P.R.D.: 1946–1948,” and will continue to be a major part of “Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.” as in goes into the 1956 arc. Still, twenty-four years after his debut, we still don’t know much about him. Well, until “Rasputin: The Voice of the Dragon” came along, that is. This miniseries from writers Mike Mignola and Chris Roberson, and artist Christopher Mitten, delves deep into the character at a time when he was still young and with much to learn ahead of him. The final issue comes out Wednesday, March 7, bringing the miniseries to a close, but given how much fun I’ve had with it, I’m hoping there’s another “Rasputin” miniseries in the works… In the meantime, check out our exclusive first look below.
