On Friday, we asked you which Marvel character should get the ‘Grand Design’ treatment next. This inspired a lot of chat on our Twitter account, and received 120 votes in the poll. The clear winner was Spider-Man, with 31.1% of the vote. Next closest was the Avengers, continuing the team theme of the first two ‘Grand Design’ series, with 14.3% of the vote. Clustered in the bottom of the top 5 was Daredevil with 8.4%, Captain America with 7.6%, and the Hulk with 6.7%.
There was also a near consensus that Michel Fiffe should be the one to give Spidey the ‘Grand Design’ treatment, with multiple tweeters and one commenter all suggesting him for the job. We think this is an inspired choice, and would love to see it happen. Your move Marvel!
Some other reader suggestions were Francesco Francavilla tackling Moon Knight, Jim Rugg telling the tale of Ghost Rider, Tomer Hanuka on the Hulk, and Benjamin Marra on the Punisher. Honestly, we’d be fine with any of these!
It is still unknown how many more, if any, of these we will see, but we are excited by the prospect of more ‘Grand Design’ series.
