Our pal Sina Grace is about to see his star continue to rise as his “Iceman” series debuts this spring from Marvel, but like so many folks of our collective generation, his comics fandom was greatly influenced by early Image Comics work. Michael Turner, the late artist of “Witchblade” and founder of Aspen Comics is, according to Grace, the reason he cares about comics today.

“I got into comics cuz of Michael Turner, interned at Top Cow to be near him, so this is a bit of a career milestone for 15 year old me,” said Grace.

What is a milestone? Grace’s cover to the upcoming fourth issue of “Fathom,” which was are exclusively debuting today.

Grace has known the founding members of Aspen “since I was in high school,” and calls this cover a childhood dream come true.

For those unfamiliar, “Fathom” was launched at Image/Top Cow before Turner founded Aspen Comics, and moved over to that imprint after its launch. After Turner’s death from cancer in 2009, Aspen has continued to publish comics, and recently launched this sixth volume of “Fathom” from Blake Northcott and Marco Renna.

See the full solicitation below, and congrats again to Sina.
