Few characters, especially at the Big 2, have had the level of breakout success that Spider-Gwen has in the past five years. Not only that, but few creators have had as much consistent involvement with their creations, over a nearly monthly basis, as Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez have with Gwen. Over the course of a few series, Spider-Gwen has become one of the more prominent female characters at Marvel, and one that has a level of mainstream recognition that seems incongruous for its creation (an alternate-Earth version of a character that has been dead for over 40 years).
The main reason for the success is simply the great work that Latour and Rodriguez have consistently done with the character, as well as her unique design. We are thrilled to share an exclusive preview of “Spider-Gwen” #28, which comes out on Wednesday, January 31st.
