Exclusive Preview: “Superman: Leviathan Rising” #1

Changes are afoot in the Superman books. In June, “Event Leviathan,” from current “Superman” and “Action Comics” scribe Brian Michael Bendis launches. In addition, “Lois Lane” and “Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen” are both beginning in July. And, continuing along, along with “Action” and “Superman,” is “Supergirl” from writer Marc Andreyko and artist Kevin Maguire.

In this anthology one-shot, “Superman: Leviathan Rising” – we get stories from all four corners – Superman, Supergirl, Lois, and Jimmy – of the Super-universe. Today, we are thrilled to share an exclusive preview of the Supergirl portion, featuring guest illustrator Eduardo Pansica. The 80-page book is out on May 29th.

An all-star roster of writers and artists highlight the new threat of Leviathan, but also tees up new ongoing series for Jimmy Olsen by writer Matt Fraction and artist Steve Lieber, and Lois Lane by writer Greg Rucka and artist Mike Perkins, coming in June! As Leviathan enacts a plan to take down Superman, it’s up to Lois, Jimmy and the heroes of the DC Universe to rescue the Man of Steel.
