One of the really fun parts about “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe” is how effectively it weaves together characters from all over the TMNT continuity, and brings them to the spotlight for small arcs or stories that, eventually, can lead them into a larger role in the IDW-verse. Karai is a character that I’m only vaguely familiar with, but this arc has put her front and center, bringing the Turtles’ adoptive sister into a place of real prominence.
