Well, it’s about damn time. Wolverine, Magneto, Nightcrawler, Cyclops. All X-Men that currently have solo ongoing titles at Marvel. You know who’s missing from that list? Literally any woman who’s an X-Man. Finally, one is joining the mix as Greg Pak and Victor Ibanez bring us “Storm” #1, and I could not be more excited to bring you this unlettered preview.

Greg Pak is a writer I love and is currently doing some great work over at DC in bringing to life a Superman in the New 52 that actually feels like Superman. There are few other writers I would trust to bring us this title, and teaming him with Victor Ibanez seems like a genius idea based on the pages below because they are simply gorgeous. Ibanez seems to perfectly capture the grace and ferocity that makes Storm live up to her namesake.

Trust me, you’re going to want to check this out.

Take a look at an unlettered preview of three pages from “Storm” #1 showcasing Victor Ibanez’s artwork as well as two variant covers by Simone Bianchi and Skottie Young, respectively:

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
