A long, long time ago in a galaxy that you are also currently residing in, Scotland’s own Colin Bell and Neil Slorance launched Jonbot Vs. Martha, a webcomic that I was quick to jump on the bandwagon of and still enjoy, despite it being over. And while small parts of me will always hope to see Jonbot return in some form or fashion, the duo behind the four-time SICBA Losing Webcomic are back with a new creator-owned series, “Dungeon Fun!”
Launching the Wednesday before Thought Bubble and then making it’s grand scale debut at the festival, “Dungeon Fun” follows the tale of Fun Mudlifter, a young girl who happens to receive a sword from the sky via a comedy of errors, and decides to use it to seek out revenge that mere bureaucracy can not properly afford her. Full of the sharp wit and esoteric references that we all came to love with “Jonbot,” Bell and Slorance’s new book comes with the highest of personal recommendations (and not just because Colin and I co-write a comic about a feline private eye from a far off galaxy.
And if you’ve never read the team’s work before, then just go ahead and trust me when I say it’s for you. Because it is. You’re going to love it.
So with all that said, we at Multiversity are in turn extremely happy to offer you up the first public look at “Dungeon Fun” #1 with the following six-page preview:

See? I told you it was good.

Dogooder Press Release
DOGOODER COMICS IS DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WEDNESDAY 20th NOVEMBER SHALL HENCEFORTH BE KNOWN AS DUNGEON FUN DAY!
This is a story of a girl and her sword…
Raised by trolls in the moat of a castle, Fun Mudlifter lives a life of boredom, until one day when adventure finds her and a sword plummets into her village. Setting off to confront the trolls responsible for the falling items that plague her and her neighbours, Fun begins an off-beat odyssey that encompasses jobsworth trolls, three-headed beasts, soothsaying shamans and headless barbarians, as she valiantly battles her way up through the dungeons to her final goal. With hilarious results!
Dungeon Fun is 32 full-colour pages of adventuring comedy from the Scottish Independent Comic Book Alliance Award-nominated duo of writer Colin Bell and artist Neil Slorance, who between them are responsible for titles such as The Amateur Astronomer’s Journal, Jonbot Vs Martha, and Detective Space Cat.
Dungeon Fun will go on sale in select comic stores in Glasgow on DUNGEON FUN DAY (Wednesday November 20th 2013), with digital editions available through dogoodercomics.co.uk, before debuting UK-wide at Leeds’ Thought Bubble Festival on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2013.
