Rob Williams has scripted a few issues of “Trinity” now, including an annual, and all of his stories, thus far, have focused on a series of trinities. The story that continues with #13 actually features four different groups of three: the titular heroes of the book, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman, as well as the ‘dark’ trinity of Red Hood, Bizarro, and Artemis from “Red Hood and the Outlaws.” Along with that, we have the magical trinity of Deadman, Zatanna, and Constantine, as the evil trinity of Circe, Ra’s al Ghul and (here absent) Lex Luthor. It seems like Williams is establishing an important undercurrent of the DCU, and these issues feel slightly different than your usual “Trinity” stories because of it. We are thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the thirteenth issue of the series, on sale September 20th.
