When a comic has a ‘from the co-creator of Rick and Morty’ tag on the cover, there’s a certain expectation for the type of story that you’re going to get from what’s between the covers. “Trover Saves the Universe” doesn’t disappoint in that department. Justin Roiland, the aforementioned co-creator of Rick and Morty, created a video game called – and you’ll never guess this – Trover Saves the Universe two years ago, and Image/Skybound is in the midst of a miniseries based on the game. The kicker is that the creator on the title is Tess Stone (“Buzz,” “Not Drunk Enough”), and so even if you’re not a fan of the game, there is absolutely a reason to be reading this book.
