I’ve never read a Valiant comic before this summer (unlike the hosts of our new Valiant-centric column), but I’m pretty eager to check most of these books out. One I’ve been looking forward to rather greatly is the Greg Pak/Clayton Henry joint of “Archer and Armstrong”, about a young man (Archer) who travels to New York to kill an immortal drunk (Armstrong). The reason I’m looking forward to it is simple: the duo behind this book also worked together on “The Incredible Hercules” (with Greg Pak at the writers-helm as well), and if anything “Archer and Armstrong” sounds like a darker but still just as awesome version of the old “Hercules” format — and that’s a very good thing.
