Blackest Night has been one hell of a rocky ride, and we’re sitting at the penultimate issue to Geoff Johns’ epic five-year Lantern story. And, in true fashion of the book, one of the most important moments of the event is going to happen in Green Lantern instead of Blackest Night! All veiled criticisms aside, though, DCU’s The Source has posted a preview of Green Lantern #52, starring White Lantern Sinestro.

Written by GEOFF JOHNS; Art and Cover by DOUG MAHNKE and CHRISTIAN ALAMY; 1:25 Variant Cover by SHANE DAVIS and SANDRA HOPE

BLACKEST NIGHT’S penultimate chapter is here, and you do not want to miss this issue. Trust us on this one.

The issue is out tomorrow, so be sure to grab it. It’ll be interesting to see a) what exactly being a White Lantern means and b) how Sinestro, a notorious tyrant, is going to handle this new role. We’ve definitely humanized this villain in recent years with explanations of his actions and giving him a lot more depth (including a daughter!), so can one of the galaxy’s greatest villains really be our greatest hero? And what will White Lanterns mean post-Blackest Night?

Follow the events of Blackest Night this week as it all winds down!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
