On Friday, to mark the Eisners this week, we asked you to name the series that deserves to win the award for Best Continuing Series. In first place (with 32.6 percent of the vote) for the second year in a row was Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo’s “Nightwing” run. Their gorgeous revamp of Dick Grayson’s series has transformed him and Barbara Gordon into the DC Universe’s most wholesome couple since Lois and Clark, and paved the way for a “Titans” series where that team, not the Justice League, are now the DCU’s premier heroes.

In second place with 30.4 percent was Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checcetto’s “Daredevil” run, which relaunched after the conclusion of the ‘Devil’s Reign’ crossover in mid-2022. The brooding run, which saw Matt Murdock and Elektra Natchios become the new leaders of the Fist, maintained the strong level of dark storytelling we’ve come to expect from the Man Without Fear’s title, and Zdarsky’s years-long take on Matt’s battle for his soul (which is coming to a close next month.)

In third place with 15.2 percent was last year’s winner for Best New Series, James Tynion IV and Alvaro Martinez Bueno’s “The Nice House on the Lake.” The horror comic, which returned for its second half last year, follows 10 mutual friends of the owner of the eponymous house, who discover all is not as it seems.

Thanks to everyone who voted; let’s see if the Eisner voters agree on Friday night. Until then, be sure to check out this Friday’s Reader Poll!
