On Friday, we asked our readers what their favorite Star Wars television series is. We asked this due to the return of The Clone Wars to Disney+, which brought back the series for a final seventh season last Friday.
While nostalgia is a powerful drug, it appears that our readers aren’t swayed by childhood favorites, as The Mandalorian took the top spot, garnering 33.3% of the vote. The series, which is due to return in October, blended some of the world building of The Clone Wars and Rebels with the quiet, solitary style of westerns and samurai films and made something really special.
Coming in second was Star Wars: Rebels, the second long running animated series to come from Dave Filoni. Rebels collected 23.3% of the vote, with its predecessor, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, coming in third with 20% of the vote.
