On Friday, we revealed our choice(s) for Best Publisher of 2020, with BOOM! Studios and Image Comics tying for the top spot. We put the 11 highest scoring publishers on our internal list on a Google Form and asked our readers to vote themselves. With the vote in, we can say that our readers are very much on the same page as our staff.
29.2% of y’all voted for Image Comics as your top publisher, with 23.1% went with BOOM! Studios, meaning that more than half of our readers felt that at least one of our top publishers was deserving of the honor. The biggest surprise was Dark Horse getting 9.2% of the vote (tying them with Marvel), making them one of only two publishers not in our Top 5 to get a substantial portion of the vote, along with Fantagraphics, which got 7.7%.
