On Friday, we asked where our readers rank The Mandalorian among other Star Wars properties. Y’all responded excitedly, with 46.7% of our readers saying that The Mandalorian belongs in the conversation among the best of Star Wars. Now, obviously that term means something different to everyone, but it means that nearly half of our readers consider the series, which started its second season on Friday, among favorites they may have had for years, if not decades. It’s a pretty bold statement for something so new.
13.3% of our readers believed that the series belongs right alongside the films, and 13.3% felt that the series is not quite among equal to the Skywalker Saga, but is more important than the two ‘A Star Wars Story’ films, Rogue One and Solo.
10% felt that it was either equal to or superior to the animated series. Only two voters ranked it below the animated series, and not a single voter said that they didn’t care for the show. That’s quite the vote of confidence for a fandom that can, at times, be quite unreasonable with their critiques.
