On Friday, inspired by the new “Universal Monsters: Dracula” comic from Skybound, we asked our readers which Universal monster our readers want to see get the comic treatment next. We included all the big guns from the Universal roster, and one was very clearly the most popular choice.
40.9% of our readers want to see a comic coming from The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Like I said on Friday, the Creature has one of the best designs of all the monsters, and the aquatic setting gives a lot of possibilities. Even more interesting would be if they did The Creature Walks Among Us era, where he had some facial surgery and started wearing some Pendleton shirts.
22.7% went with Frankenstein’s Monster, with the Wolfman pulling up in third with 18.2%. As we are rapidly approaching the end of spooky season, may I remind you that these films are amazing and are not just October viewing.
